Film festival events include a variety of screenings, question-and-answer sessions, acting workshops and screen writing lessons. Visiting artists include Gruffalo producer, Martin Pope, actor and director Lee Boardman and screenwriter Lucinda Coxon.
"We will also get the chance to show a trailer for our Manx film, Solace in Wicca which we finished filming at the end of July," added Mr Russell-Raby.
Solace in Wicca tells the story of Margaret Inequane, who was burned at the stake in the Isle of Man in 1617 for witchcraft and whose name is immortalised on the plinth in Castletown Square where she was executed.
The screenplay was written by Nathan Russell-Raby and directed and produced by Andy North and is the first feature-length Manx language film to be made on the island.
