Vintage Toon Vault is a YouTube channel releasing public domain cartoons three times a week. The channel was created to drum up an audience for the short film "The Mouse Who Stole My Show," featuring Felix the Cat. To differentiate it from the competition, the channel has its own flair, with an animated ident that shows vintage characters escaping from a vault in an old theatre.
To keep viewers clicking, additional idents were crafted featuring well-known cartoon figures who humorously encourage viewers to like and subscribe. The idea was to make these bits engaging enough to show that Vintage Toon Vault is putting real effort into its presentations, not just lazily posting old content.
Nathan Russell-Raby directed and produced the idents, with animations by Franjo Setrov, and nostalgic Looney Tunes-inspired layout by Bosko Comics. This effort has turned VTV into more than just a cartoon channel—it's a vibrant brand that stands out in the crowd.
